Philly Cheese Steak Flat Breads!
By: Kecia’s Flavor Breakthrough!
This one is for my son, he love Philly Cheese Steaks, so since I am making one for my Honey with mushrooms, and one for me with chicken tonight, I will make a special one for my son. This recipe is to make two, but can easily be halved to make only one.
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- Half a bell pepper, thinly sliced
- ½ an onion, thinly sliced
- 2 Naan breads
- 4 slices of provolone
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- ½ pound skirt steak, thinly sliced
- Salt and pepper
- ¼ cup mayo
- 2 tsps. pizza seasoning (Or Italian seasoning)
In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium high heat. Add the pepper and onion, sauté until onion becomes slightly translucent.
Preheat grill to medium (Can be made in the oven at 450°F)
Season the steak with salt and pepper. Place Naan breads on a sheet of heavy duty aluminum foil. Tear the provolone into about 6 pieces each slice, randomly place around the tops of the bread. Sprinkle the mozzarella around. Top with the pepper and onion mixture and then add the steak. Place on foil in the grill. Cook from between 5 to 10 minutes, until steak is done, cheese is melted and crust is browned. Place the mayo and seasoning in a small bowl, mix thoroughly. Spoon into a small zipper bag. Seal and cut the very corner off.
Squeeze over the tops of the flat breads.
Cut and serve.
