Serves a group!
Nothing better than a crusty bread to go with soups and pasta dishes! Even with a fresh green salad. Now with the added bonus of garlic and cheese yum! Count me in! These also make a great little appetizer.
1 loaf baguette bread
2-4 tbsp of butter softened (or spread or olive oil even)
1-2 tbsp of garlic powder (depending on how garlicy you like it)
½ cup shredded parmesan cheese
2 tsp Italian Seasoning
Preheat oven to 400*
Slice baguette into 1” thick slices
Spread butter on one side of each slice of the bread
Sprinkle with garlic
Then a light sprinkle of the cheese. (light to give flavor but not completely cover the bread)
sprinkle a little Italian seasoning on top and pop into oven
Bake for 5 - 7 minutes or until toasty
Serve with pasta or soup. Tonight I served with my Creamy Tomato Basil Alfredo Pasta.
