Nothing better on a cold and snowy day than coming home to a family dinner that is hot and already done!! We enjoy a nice hearty soup on these cold winter days, warms the belly and the family around the table warms the heart.

1 bag of dried white beans soaked per package directions

1 pork tenderloin cut into bite sized cubes fat removed (or I use left over pork as well)

4 cups beef broth

½ cup Marsala or dry red wine

1 sweet onion julienned

1 carrot chopped

1 stalk celery chopped

1 clove garlic minced

2 tsps rosemary

1 tsp sage

1 tsp savory

2 tsp onion powder

1 tsp thyme

1 tsp oregano

1 bay leaf

Salt and pepper to taste

Place all ingredients in crock pot and stir.

Cook on low 8 – 10 hours.

Serve with hot crusty bread or grilled cheese. Mmmm…
