There are several things I love about autumn. The turning of the leaves, picking apples, pumpkins the scent in the air. I also love the change in the food. It goes from light and fresh to richer, deeper flavors, earthy herbs. Hot and hearty soups replace lighter salads, richer marinades for meats, squash and root vegetables come into season.
To me this meal, my Autumn Flavors Meal is truly what makes me think of the season. A deep dark marinade on the beef, delicious butternut squash roasted in the oven, a creamy and rich risotto featuring red wine and tomato instead of my lighter version with white wine.
So here is to a lovely autumn season. I hope you enjoy the flavors of the season as much as we are in our home.
Please… enjoy the meal. You can click on the links for the individual recipes.
Thank you so much for coming by Kecia’s Flavor Breakthrough! Where, if it is as good on the plate as it is in my head, recipes will post soon.
