Rosemary Red Beef Sirloin Tip Steaks!
By: Kecia’s Flavor Breakthrough!
Sirloin Tip Roast is usually a really lean cut of beef. (this one had a nice amount of fat in it when I cut it) It is not very forgiving I have found out. But, if I slice it against the grain and marinate it, grill it and serve it up like steak it is good! Tonight I will marinate it and grill it up to be the main dish in my autumn dinner, serving it with Beefy Tomato Risotto and Roasted Butternut Squash. What a great way to end this beautiful autumn weekend.
Serves 6
Ingredients:
- 1 sirloin tip roast
- ½ cup red wine
- ½ cup olive oil
- 1 tbsp. dried rosemary
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tsp. kosher salt
- Cracked black pepper
Slice roast cross grain in to 2” thick slices. Lay in a shallow dish.
Mix remainder of ingredients and pour over steaks. Marinate for at least ½ hour.
Preheat grill to medium heat. Grill on each side for 5 minutes. Check to see if they are done to your liking. Continue to flip and grill an addition 2 minutes at a time until they are done. I like mine a medium to medium well so I go 5, 5, 2, 2 minutes and done. Again, make sure to check for doneness, grill temps and thickness of steaks varies.
