Herb and Garlic Couscous!

Making Italian Sausage Stir Fry tonight and am in a huge rush to get out the door for another kid activity! Story of my life, right? I love it! Well I wanted something fast, delicious and easy to serve with my Italian Sausage Stir Fry… I know that Couscous isn’t Italian, heck Stir Fry isn’t Italian! Let’s just say I am crossing borders with this dish! I know it will taste amazing! And fun!

Serves 4 (1/2 cup servings)



  • 1 tsp Olive Oil
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 2 tsps. Italian Herb paste I like Garden Gourmet
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup broth or water (tonight I am using beef broth I have it left over)
  • ¾ cup couscous, I use Near East


In saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat add garlic and herb paste, cook for about one minute


Add broth and salt and pepper to taste. Bring to just a boil.


Add couscous, remove from heat, cover and let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve hot! Sprinkle with a little Parmesan Cheese if desired.

  1. I am a huge fan of coucous Kecia, and your recipe looks delicious and bursting with flavor. I guess this makes a great accompaniment also to beef or lamb dishes.
