Grilled Beef Tenderloin Fillet!

So… the kids are away this week, we of course have to stay home and work. But, it does mean that I can really shine in the kitchen, spend little more on the meal and prepare something that our adult taste buds will really enjoy!

I don’t know about you, but beef tenderloin fillets are one of my favorite cuts of meat. I love how juicy and tender they are. I don’t get them very often, because let’s be honest here, THEY ARE OUTRAGEOUSLY EXPENSIVE!!! But, I wanted to really make this week’s meals special, so here is entrée number one for the week. I hope Honey loves them!

I will be serving them with Roasted Garlic Smashed Potatoes, Lemon Butter Asparagus and sautéed mushrooms for my Honey, roasted garlic for myself. Enjoy!

Serves 2 (a lot, depending on the size of your fillets!)

Ingredients:

  • 2 Beef Tenderloin Fillets similar in size
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup dry red wine
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp. Italian Herb Paste
  • 2 tsps. Kosher Salt
  • 1 tsps. Fresh ground pepper

Place fillets in shallow dish. Mix together balance of the ingredients and pour over fillets, marinate for at least a half an hour.

Now the fillets I purchased are almost 2” thick so your time on the grill will vary dependent on the thickness of your cut and the way you prefer your beef to be cooked. I like mine on the medium well side.

Preheat grill to medium heat. Place fillets on grill and cook 3 minutes on four sides.

  1. This may be my favorite thing you have posted!!! I love beef tenderloin and the roasted garlic>>>> put it over the top! Phenomenal recipe! My hubby and I have our 10 year anniversary coming up and I may just have to make this for him that night!!!! <3
